In a bit of shocking news that I got today, Delta airlines confused two children. One child was supposed to go to Boston, and the other to Cleveland, but they were sent on each others' flights.
Delta did issue an apology though, as well as refund both families for their travel costs, and issue credits for future travels with Delta.
I am a bit confused about this. I thought that non-flying parents were allowed into the boarding area with their children if they were below a certain age. The one child was 9 years old, which seems a little young to have let the child be alone in the gate area without a parent.
