Japan bound passengers get extended holiday in Anchorage!

Passengers aboard an American Airlines jet bound for Japan got a little stop that was unplanned in Anchorage, Alaska.

An indicator light showed that there was a fire in the cargo section of the airplane, so the pilot landed in Anchorage, safely, where American Airlines is picking up the tab for the hotel and accomodations of all of the passengers aboard!   

They are sending a second jet for all of the people who were on board, as well as a crew of mechanics to determine what the cause of the malfunction is. 

Saudi Arabia Human remains found in landing gear, pilot was alerted at take-off but ignored alerts and took off anyway.

In Saudi Arabia, passengers and cabin crew noticed a man in a ball cap running towards the plane, lose step, regain his balance and then disappear from view. 

Flight attendants told the cabin, and the pilot disregarded the notice and took off. Upon landing, a human body was found in the landing gear. I hope that the part about the pilot being informed about this and ignoring it is an error.

Croatia Airlines readies for strike, cancels 33 flights

In breaking news, Croatia Airlines has cancelled 33 flights as it steels itself against a stike by workers who assert that the airline would not sign an agreement covering lay offs and days off from work. 
The strikers have chosen the airlines busiest time of their tourism year to engage in the strike.

Wish that there were less bags being carried onto the plane?

Do you hate how long it takes to get on board a plane now that everyone has to stop and find a space in the overhead compartment to stow their bags?

I have had overly heavy bags fall on me, I have had a laptop come out of its' case and hit me on the head, and once, a bottle of vodka fell out, and landed in my lap. 


There is now a group aiming for the carry on crunch to be ended. They have a great website called End Carry On Crunch, where they describe all of the issues that flight attendants face from planes that are over stuffed in the main cabin. Even if you disagree because of being charged on some carriers to check bags, the site is worth a look.
